2. IntroductionsEnd of BHRS/new IBHS regulations will impact Summer 2021Camp and community supports for CBH membersQuestions/Comments

End of Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services (BHRS)Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) - new regulations issued by state of PA (OMHSAS) at end of 2019Over the course of 2020, IBHS regulations were enacted, as previous BHRS services were winding downEffective Jan 17, 2021, BHRS has ended and ONLY IBHS Services are available to CBH members

What does this mean?Terminology and positions, such as TSS and LC, have been changed/replacedAll positions have new regs for qualifications and supervision The new name and title for a direct support professional is Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)BHT’s only work with one childSummer supports in 2021 will look and sound different than in past years

5. CBH “Regionalization” of IBHSWith new IBHS regs, CBH issued a procurement (RFP) to contract with providers for services by region of the city27 providers were selected to serve children based on where they live and go to schoolProviders assigned to region must accept all eligible childrenIBHS Services are now a 12-month service and providers must serve the child across ALL environments (home, school, and community)

Impact on Summer 2021Children attending summer camps should be supported by their assigned IBHS providerIBHS Providers request Summer services via a “Written Order” to CBHThere will NOT be separate arrangement for Group TSS as in past summersFamilies should be redirected to their provider for any support needs in the camp setting
