Made Using Microsoft Power Point 2007

Shakespeare was born in Stratford in Warwickshire. Shakespeare was baptized on the 26

th of April 1564 and since they didn’t keep very good records back then that’s the closest to a birth date we have.

Shakespeare's birth And Early LifeSlide3

Shakespeare's birth And Early Life. Continued.

Shakespeare ‘s father was a glove maker by the name of John Shakespeare. His mother was Mary Arden and was the daughter or a local landowner. Shakespeare was educated at Stratford’s grammar school it isn’t known how long he attended but its assumed that that’s the only education he had.

Not StratfordSlide4

Shakespeare's birth And Early Life. Continued.

The next event we have in Shakespeare life is his marriage to a woman named Anne Hathaway the daughter of a farmer. They had a daughter then not long after twins in the year of 1585. there is now a gap sometimes called the lost years with old Shakespeare reappearing seven years later in 1592.Slide5

Shakespeare in Theater

Shakespeare spent a lot of time with the lord Chamberlain's Company. Among the actors there was the famous Richard Burbage. Shakespeare preformed in two theaters one near the southward area of London, close to the banks of the Thames - the Globe and the Black fairs Slide6

The characters Midsummer's Night dream

Theseus- The great duke who is engaged to Hippolyta We only see him at the begging of the play and the end he’s not confused in the madness of the night.Hippolyta- The “

Legendary” queen of the amazons who is engaged to Theseus.Slide7

Now we can get to the mechanicals of which I am a part of.

The mechanicals are the comedic relief of the play. The mechanicals are putting on a play within the play. The sweet comedy and most tragic death of Pyarmas and Thisby. Which is quite like shake spears earlier play of Romeo and Juliet.Slide11

They are going to perform this play before the duke on his wedding day, at night. The mechanicals act like circus performers and there personalities are as follows!Slide12

The mechanicalsPeter Quince

Peter Quince is the idiot savant (emphasis on the idiot) director of there play. Peter Quince is always struggling to keep his cast members in check especially bottom.

Peter Quince is always having to speak louder than bottom who always thinks he’s the director.Slide13

The Mechanicals Bottom

Nick bottom the over-confident man chosen to play Pyramas. Bottom is very confident and full of advice and knowledge . Bottom is also preposterously silly but thinks everyone takes him as seriously as he takes himself . Bottom latter gets his head turned into the head of a donkey but is doesn’t question the beautiful Titanic suddenly falls in love with him. How could she not he’s Bottom the Weaver!Slide14
