Advise and Sign Senior Course Options

Student Expectations on Advise and Sign Day You will meet with your counselor individually the week of December 3rd during your PE/ROTC/Band/Driver Ed class Your teacher will have an assigned day to send you down or come down as a class Prior to meeting with your counselor you should discuss course recommendations with your teachers and parents PLEASE BRING YOUR COURSE SELECTION SHEET TO YOUR COUNSELOR MEETING!

Graduation Requirements Credits Required Subjects 4 English 3 Math (Algebra, Geometry, Additional Course) 2 Science 1 American History ½ American Government 3 PE/NJROTC/Band ½ Consumer Education         ½           Health ½ Driver Education 1 Social Studies Elective 1 Fine and Performing Arts, World Language, or Career & Technical Education 5 Electives /Reading = 22 Total Credits + State Mandated Testing

How to Complete the Course Request Form Print your ID and Name CLEARLY Circle which required English class/classes you would like Circle which required Government class you would like Circle which required Consumer Education class you would like Circle which 2  PE classes you would like or Band or ROTC Do not mark anything in the Reading box, that is for your counselor to complete Please select your electives in order of preference and be mindful of picking two electives that are semester long or one that is year-long.

Reading Course Some students will be required to take this course and will be placed using NWEA MAP and SAT assessment scores. PLEASE make sure you take these assessments seriously and try your best in order to make sure you are placed in the appropriate level of reading or exempted per course guidelines.
