Our goal is to have over 20 volunteers from FCC! If you are interested in being a volunteer, please contact Gail Holcombe at 531-7683 or gailmaryh@gmail.com Over the past year the congregation has tested the waters - ship time prior to Sunday school. For those who take advantage of that time, it has proven to meet a need for informal socializing and greeting guests. Several of our women have routinely picked up bagels and prepared the space each Sunday. Like all ministries of the church, it’s time to evaluate this program as we approach an - other budget year. Does the fellowship time relate to the mission of the church? Yes, it does. Can it be managed (stewarded) with resources of people and funds? Ah, esources have come as a gracious gift (funded outside the budget), AND we’re work - ing our volunteer pool pretty hard. Everyone needs a time of sabbath! If the congregation wishes to continue this ministry, a couple of things need to happen . The Cabinet needs to bless this program as a ministry of the church, requesting resources to fund it next year. And second, 5 or 6 more people need to check in with Sandy Reynolds about volunteering time to set up the area and clean up afterward. Sandy and others are will - ing and ready to lead a brief orientation to make that happen. makes ministry happen, keeps it focused, and helps leaders to avoid mission-creep and burn out.
