Named after Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon

They surveyed the land and created the “line.”

Sir George Calvert wanted a colony just for Catholics.

Died before he could get

the colony underway

Cecil, Lord Baltimore, Calvert pushed his fathers plan forward.

decks of the ships.
