If
you have pre-recorded audio files for your main content, go ahead and drag them into one of the vocal tracks. Slide4

Select your voice track, and bring up the Track info in your sidebar (
Cmd
+ i). 2. Click on the
Edit
tab, and click one of the grey boxes to add an effect. Choose
Treble Reduction
. You can choose from the high, medium, low options, or even go in for the manual setting. You can tune the settings live while the track is playing to get a feel for what the effect is doing. Slide5
Adding Jingles/sound effects
Click
Jingles
, then click a category of sounds.
To
preview a jingle, click one to start the jingle playing, then click again to stop playback.Add
a jingle by dragging it to the beginning of the Jingles track.Slide6
Ducking
GarageBand
by default will automatically
unduck
the voice tracks and duck the Jingles and Stingers.

Converting your Podcast to an .mp3 file
Click
Share > Export Song (or Podcast) to Disk
.
Select
Compress Using: MP3 Encoder, and Audio Settings: Musical Podcast if it contains some background music.
Click
the
Export
button and specify a location to save it (MAKE SURE YOU REMEMBER WHERE YOU SAVED IT!!!)
