1 Audit per year for Retailers/RestaurantsMultiples Audits per year for Abattoirs if providing BC Beef to multiple locations.Processes and documentation will be reviewedSlide5
What you’ll do…
Follow policies and proceduresAbattoirs will collect samples of certified BC beef destined to commercial marketsAuditor will take samples from Retailers and Restaurants and link them to specified shipments, and will be sent for DNA analysis
Abattoir samples from corresponding shipment will be obtained and shipped for DNA analysisBoth sets of samples will then be paired for matching DNA confirmationProvide any documentation that is required by the auditor
Display approved signage and labels for Certified BC Beef, as per license agreementSlide6

Application is being completed through the Investment Agriculture Foundation to ensure that a pilot program can begin 2014.Target start date is May 2014 (Contingent on approved funding).Slide10
