Who Am I? I am a member of a network known as Change Leaders. My role is to receive information from the State Programs and CAM project and bring it back to my office, so you are up to date on the happening with the CAM Project. I will also assist you with the people side of change – Change Management! 2
Why is CAM needed? 3 The safety and protection of Oregon’s vulnerable populations is among the most critical functions of DHS and OHA. Current fragmented systems prevent accurate reporting and tracking of serious incidents and reports of abuse. House Bill 4151 presented the state with an opportunity to review best practices, and in turn, make improvements in the way we do our work that will benefit the people we serve. By standardizing abuse and serious incident work across all programs, it will better protect Oregonians from abuse and make our day-to-day work more effective.
Let’s Talk About CAM… By implementing a centralized web-based system to collect reports of Serious Incidents and Abuse DHS will significantly improve its ability to achieve their mission to assist Oregonians in achieving safety, health and independence 4 The safety and protection of Oregon’s vulnerable populations is among the most critical functions of DHS and OHA. The CAM Project will support two agencies (DHS and OHA) and the following Programs: APD, ODDS, Behavioral Health, Licensing Entities and OTIS

Summer and Fall of 2018 Trained Aging and People with Disabilities (AAA/APD) staff in preparation for rolling CAM out. Winter 2018 CAM was implemented in all of the APD/AAA offices.Preparing for our implementation by holding several Joint Application Design sessions to ensure the CAM system meets our business needs.Creation of the Change Leader Network to support the people side of change. 6 What has CAM been up to?
