What is the Pledge to Diversity?

Originally signed

by 23 Denver law firms in 1993Today over 40 signatories, and recently incorporated as a non-profit organizationCommitted to significantly increase the number of diverse attorneys recruited, hired, and promoted

Primary purpose is educational, as the Pledge seeks to provide a means for exposing diverse law students to opportunities in the legal profession and vice versa. The participating employers recognize the importance and value of having students with various experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives work at their firm or

company.Members consist of law firms, in-house departments of corporations, non-profits, and other entities

1L Summer Clerkship Program

Over 40 paid summer clerkships were available for Summer 2018

Salaries vary depending on the firm/organization. For example, some firms pay the salary of a pro-rated first year associate while others differ. However, salaries are

non negotiable. Clerkships typically begin in late May/early

June and end in late July/early August (approx. 9-11 weeks)
