Task 1: Think, Pair and ShareThink… You have 60 seconds to write how you know when someone is ill – think about symptoms and how people might act when they are ill.Pair… Share your ideas with your partner, write down any examples that you did not have.Share… Share your ideas with the rest of the class.

6. Task 2: ClassificationAs a class, come up with a list of symptoms.Classify these symptoms into the following groups:Symptoms you can seeSymptoms you cannot seeFor example, vomitingFor example, headache

Task 3: Being illIn pairs, discuss a time when you have needed extra care.This might have been when you were younger, when you were ill, if you had broken an arm or a leg…In your pairs, make a list of the type of care you needed, for example, help up the stairs, warm drinks… Was it long-term or short-term care?
