Rwanda: The RPF regime determined to decapitate the political opposition The Rwandan Supreme Court's ruling on the appeal of imprisoned opposition leader M s . Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza is expected this Friday 13 December 2013.Ingabire, leader of Rwanda's FDU - Inkingi Party, was arrested three years ago, in October 2010, after attempting to run for president against sitting President Paul Kagame. The fate of Ingabire was clear from the d ay (16 January 2010) she arrived in Rwanda. In an interview given to the Ugandan newspaper Monitor the President Kagame declared that she (Ms. Ingabire ) “has to be “where she belongs,” implying she deserved to be in pr ison. M s . Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza Chairperson of FDU - Inkingi On Friday 22 November 2013, another key leader of the FDU - Inkingi, Sylvain Sibomana( the party's Interim Secretary General) has been sentenced to two years in prison. Sylvain Sibomana Interim Secretary General Alongside them many others members of FDU - Inkingi are imprisoned or reported missing. M ost of them are young people who aspire to a free and democratic Rwanda. Despite the efforts of the Kagame’s regime to destroy them, the FDU - Inkingi are becoming stronger and are not ready to give up. The FDU - Inkingi call upon Rwanda's key partners to urge President Paul Kagame to immediately release these and other political prisoners .
