Driving

The majority of our AFEO/ENGSFF time is spent driving our engines to and from

incidents.

According to the 2011 Incident Review Report, driving accounts for 21% of all fire related accidents. Slide17

This season, 25 percent of the incidents reported to the Lessons Learned Center were driving incidents, including two fatalities. Let’s face it, it may not be the toughest or most glamorous thing we do, but it is one of the most dangerous.
