December 21 1804-the Louisiana territory is apart of the U.S. ere Sacagawea and her husband Toussaint Charbonneau by translating to other natives or French. And other on may 14, 1804-the expedition begins up the Missouri with about forty members and Lewis's Newfoundland dog, Seaman and on November 4 Lewis & Clark meet and hire Toussaint Charbonneau and Sacagawea as Interpreters.
