Lewis and Clark Meriwether Lewis and William Clark were explorers who were sent by Thomas Jefferson to explore the Louisiana Territory. There exploration was 1804-1806.They went to the Pacific Ocean. Lewis and Clark were very important on exploring the Louisiana Territory.

Purchasing SeamanLewis and Clark purchase seaman on the Ohio river. Lewis was walking on the docks and he saw a dog and Lewis walked up. Seaman’s owner told that it was a Newfoundland and that Seaman had a double coat, webbed feet, and that he could rescue a man in rough water or in a storm. Seaman’s man said , ”He ’s twenty dollars”.Seaman was important because he got most of the food on the Ohio river. Seaman was a great companion on the trip.To Map

The Winter of 1804-1805The winter of 1804-1805 Lewis and Clark met Sacagawea. Lewis and Clark settled in Fort Mandan and they meet Sacagawea who is a shoe women and bird women. She was married to a French-Canadian trader named Toussaint Charbonneau. She had a baby along the journey. What Sacagawea helped by translating the Indian voice into English for Lewis and Clark. The breeze, the scent, and the waves of the Pacific astonished him. They set up camps and they started heading back. This was really important because they met there goal.
