Irfon Watkins Our Utility token the DOV is an ERC20 token, in order for us to achieve one of our goals to offset all crypto transactions we felt it important to have this. We are advocates however of a multichain world, we believe it leads to more efficiency, innovation, and cost management. When we started plann ing out the technology stack for our trust layer and the cDOV marketplace we investigated a number of options before deciding on Hedera. The core reasons were speed and efficiency, resulting in a significantly reduced carbon footprint compared to the curre nt setup within Ethereum. In addition, there is a significant $ cost benefit in using Hedera over Ethereum. Furthermore, our carbon marketplac

As we have stated above there are statistics and statistics, however, we have to start somewhere and we know that current PoW Blockchains are energy - intensive. As a result of using Hedera for our marketplace and cDOV, we are able to run on a very light footprint and therefore significantly reduce our impact on the environment. Irfon Watkins Originally we were focused on mobility and smart cities, we took equity investment from Jaguar Landrover, we won a number of pilot projects but we were unable to convert these pilot projects into scalable products. Irfon Watkins We are a Protocol that aims to offset every crypto transaction globally. We empower local communities by unlocking the carbon in the soil under their feet. Our mission is to connect the entire crypto community through fun and frictionless interactions with our platform, where they can o ffset their crypto transactions or anything else by supporting farmers globally! We can all look after our environment in a more sustainable way, carbon offsetting it should be built into every dAPP, Wallet and Protocol. Tell us what data you collect, what you do with user data? Irfon Watkins We will be collecting data from farmers as we require data to verify the carbon stored within the soil, we will partner with data marketplaces to reward them for their data Anastasiia Amazing! Users are interested when do you envisage the project going live and when do you think we will see the first tokenised carbon credits being issued? Irfon Watkins We are aiming for Q2 2021 for the launch of our first cDOV’s within our marketplace. As things stand we are on t arget for this. We cant wait... Anastasiia Fantastic! Time fo r the last question: Share with us your plans for the future. What goal do you want to achieve and how are you going to make your project better? Irfon Watkins We want to offset every crypto transaction, provide tools, API etc , to enable that and provide a trusted supply of carbon. We want payments for carbon to go directly to the farmer and enable the farmer to farm carbon in the same way they currently farm other crops. We believe that tokens and blockchain are best suited to deliver this in a trusted transparent way. Teams (People) make projects better.
