Who Are We? The AAC is a personal development program for young people, conducted by the Australian Defence Force in cooperation with the community, which benefits the Nation by developing an individual's capacity to contribute to society, fostering an interest in Defence Force careers, and developing ongoing support for Defence

The AAC is a leading national youth development organisation, with the character and values of the Australian Army, founded on a strong community partnership, fostering and supporting an ongoing interest in the Australian Army. Our Vision

Our Values The Australian Army Cadets adopts the values of the Australian Army - Courage, Initiative, Respect and Teamwork - to empower youth to achieve their potential.

The Criteria to join Be a resident of Australia; turn 13 years of age anytime in the year that you intend to enrol in the AAC, or already be aged 13 years or older; not have reached the age of 17 years; Not be a member of the Australian Navy Cadets, the Australian Air Force Cadets, or the Australian Defence Force; Be available to attend the majority of the activities conducted by the Army Cadet Unit that you wish to join; Agree to abide by the AAC Code of Conduct; Complete an application form (and have it signed by your parent/s or guardian/s), and complete any other forms required by the AAC (such as emergency contact details, health declaration, etc ); Have your application accepted by the Army Cadet Unit Officer Commanding.

How do I join? To join you must meet the criteria stated previous. Then you should contact your local Army Cadet Unit to discuss with the unit staff your desire to join, and obtain the AAC Application for Enrolment and other documents.
