A stereotype is defined as a social perception of an individual in terms of membership or physical attributes. It is a . generalisation. that is made about a group and then attributed to members of that group. . An over-simplified, generalized belief about all people who belong to a certain social group (e.g. Canadians are nice). When we stereotype a group of people, we depict all of the individuals within that group as having the same characteristics. “Sex-Based Roles”.
