The Rational of the study is that fewer studies had been conducted to examine the role of the sustainable innovation strategy. An example; “Etihad Airline” considered one of the best airways in implementation the benchmarking of the innovation strategy subsequently result a higher financial growth and a better position ranked in the aviation industry. Research Method and Approach Qualitative along with the case study approach in which it is focus on developing an in-depth understanding of a single case or exploration an issue or problem of a real-life. The case study focus on the analysis of the event or program or activities and the primary data collection based on the multiple sources of the interviews, observation and documents and the analysis that would be based on the finding themes cross the interviews’ answers in order to find out the findings. The Research Problem of the paper is that the sustainable innovation strategic importance of a viable sub-sector in an emerging market economy is vital, especially to promote globalization trends and economic growth for Abu Dhabi capital and the country as a whole. The Problem The Main and the Central Questions toward the paper: How the Sustainable Innovation Strategy would impact the performance of Etihad Airways in short and long terms? Baumgartner, The Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airway says about their vision toward overcoming the dilemma of the financial loss incurred in 2016 “Our answer to these challenges is the innovation and reinvention, and this gives Etihad Airways a competitive edge as we seek to leverage opportunities offered to us by a changing environment (Etihad Airways, 2017).
