slide2. Fartlek Training Fartlek training is Swedish term meaning “Speed Play”.
Swedish Coach Gosta Holmer was developed fartlek Training.
Developed in 1930.
Its Develops basically Endurance.<br>
slide9. Example of Training Schedule Warm up by jogging for 5 to 10 minutes followed by free hand exercises (Calisthenics) for different part of the body for about 4-6 minutes.
Run at fast steady pace over a distance of 800-1200 meter.
Recovery: rapid walking for about 5 minutes.
Start of speed work: easy running interspersed with sprints of about 40–50 meters, repeated until a little tired.<br>
slide10. Cont. Slow jogging for about 3-5 minutes.
Full speed uphill for 80–100 meters. Run down the hill at a jogging pace after each repetitions.
Walk for 5 minute.
Run at fast pace for about 1 minute.
Jog about 1-1.50km. To limber down.
End with free hand and stretching Exercises.<br>
