slide2. Ceil blue scrubs should only be worn by those working in restricted procedural areas.
All Operating Rooms
CVC
Interventional Radiology
L&D ORs
Cath/EP Labs
Scrubs cannot be worn outside the building at anytime.<br>
slide3. Only hospital issued and laundered scrub sets and jackets are worn in Operating Rooms (OR)/procedural areas.
Scrubs should be taken out of the scrub machines immediately before use.
Personnel don clean scrub attire daily. This is changed promptly if it becomes wet or contaminated.
Home laundering is not permitted. Policy IC0023 :Attire for Surgical and Procedural Areas<br>
slide4. The only approved coverings for procedural scrubs are a long, white lab coat or blue snap jacket as these are hospital laundered.
Sweatshirts, fleeces, or track jackets are not permitted over blue scrubs at anytime.
Undershirts must be completed covered by scrubs.<br>
slide5. Scrub Attire Reminders All facial and head hair must be covered within the semi-restricted areas.
Cloth caps must be covered by a disposable bouffant.
All jewelry must be contained within the scrub attire.
Masks should never be left dangling from the neck.
Lanyards are not permitted in procedural areas.<br>
