MOIL is also a listed Company, presently equity holding % is as below:
Government of India – 53.84 %
Government of Maharashtra – 5.11%
Government of Madhya Pradesh – 5.40 %
Public – 35.65%
MOIL is producing annually more than 1.3 million tonnes of various grade of manganese ore in the country.

STEEL POLICY
As against the present requirement of about 3.25 Million MT manganese ore for production of around 100 Million MT of steel, MOIL has produced 1.30 Million MT in financial year 2018-19 where as the country’s production (including MOIL) is around 2.58 Million MT. The balance is met through imports. The requirement of manganese ore will go up with increasing steel production and may touch a level of around 10 million MT by 2030 as per National Steel Policy’2017.

STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT PLAN OF MOIL
In order to meet the growing requirement of manganese ore in future and maintain its leadership, MOIL has planned to enhance its production capacity from present level of 1.30 million tonnes to 3.0 Millon tonnes by 2030, for which strategic management plan has already been prepared. 2<br>

REGULATORY COMPLIANCES Govt. of India vide Gazette notification No.571, dated October 6th, 2009 reserved over an area of 814.71 Ha. in Bhandra and Nagpur district in favour of MOIL limited for exploitation of Manganese ore. Accordingly, MOIL has applied for Prospecting Licence within the reserved area.

Govt. of Maharashtra vide letter no. PLV-N-1678/2011/2673 dated 3.12.2013 has granted Prospecting License for Manganese ore over an area of 5.62 ha.

The LOI granted to MOIL Limited by Government of Maharashtra vide letter Number MMN-0216/L vide no. 21/Industry-9, Mumbai dated 06.04.2016 over an area of 5.62 ha at village Satuk, Tehsil- Parseoni, Dist. - Nagpur (Maharashtra).

Mining Plan and PMCP plan under Rule 16 (1) of MCR, 2016 and Rule 23B of MCDR 1988 in respect of over an area of 5.62 ha in village Satuk is approved by Regional Controller, Nagpur Region, IBM vide letter no. NGP/MN/MPLN-1172/NGP-2016 on dated 09.08.2016.

The application for prior EC (Form-1 & PFR submitted online on 07.02.2018) submitted to SEIAA, Maharashtra, and considered in 149th Meeting of SEAC-I, dated 6th April 2018 (Unique Id – 000943) & Hon’ble committee recommended standard ToR with specific conditions. 11<br>
slide12. REGULATORY COMPLIANCES Environmental base line study was done 1st March 2018 to 31st May 2018.

Public Hearing was conducted successfully on 13th June 2019 (at 12:00 Noon) at office in Gram Panchyat Satuk, Tehsil-Parseoni, District - Nagpur, Maharashtra.

CGWA permission has been obtained vide NOC No. CGWA/NOC/MIN/ORIG/2021/10468 dated 28.01.2021 and valid till 27.01.2023 for Satuk manganese mine.

There are no eco-sensitive zone, wildlife sanctuary, biosphere reserve within 10 km study area.

No litigation is pending against the Project/ Land in any court of law. 12<br>

slide14. DETAILS OF MINING OPERATIONS METHOD OF MINING
Mining will be done with Open Cast Mechanized method of mining.
This is a virgin area and manganese ore is found at Block A below 10m from the surface up to 20m depth. In Block B & C below 5m up to the depth of 45m.
Deposit is located at shallow depth. Hence, opencast mining will be carried out.
Box cut of 10m wide shall be commenced from foot wall side and exposed up to hang wall in Block A.
Road from footwall side will be made for disposal of ROM and Overburden and topsoil in lease area. Development and ramps will be prepared in Block A.
After development of Block A, box cut will be developed at Block-B & C from hang wall side and exposed up to footwall and the box cut will be connected to the travelling road made in the lease area for Block-A. Preparation of ramp and development of benches will be carried out in Block B & C in such a way by leaving safe distance of 50m from the nallah located in eastern side of Block B & C.
Topsoil will be stacked separately in footwall side as marked as topsoil dump in surface plan and overburden will be stacked separately as marked as OB dump in surface plan.
Barrier pillar of 7.5m wide will be kept near boundary of the lease as marked in the plan at Block B & C and in Block-A. 14<br>

Height of Benches: 6.0m
Width of benches: Not less than Height – 10m
Development to be done in horizontal plane
Development extends from 297m RL to 268m RL in vertical plane
Bench alignment –Parallel to the strike of ore body i.e. E-W
The ultimate pit slope angle – Not more than 30°

slide44. Rainwater collected in the pits should be pumped out and discharged into natural drainage system after desilting in settling ponds and it should be used for plantation.
Adequate measures to protect the mine during rains will be taken by providing garland drains around the mine excavations and suitable drainage gradients for mine benches.
Suitable drainage system will be provided to prevent surface water from entering into mines directly.
To construct suitable groundwater recharges mechanism for recharge the groundwater regimes in the outside of the mine area.
To all the dewatering/ groundwater withdrawal structures will be fitted with digital water flow meters & maintain the log book data.
To install Piezometer for monitoring of groundwater level four times in a year (January, May, August & November).
To analysis of water quality will be during the pre and post-monsoon periods of the core and buffer zone from the NABL approved lab.
Optimum utilization avoiding unnecessary wastage of water will be done.
Awareness programs will be taken up to educate public for conservation of water.
