slide2. Hi, I’m Lisa Levi, a storyteller, and I’m going to tell you a story. And you. You’re going to write one. You can write however you want. You can write long sentences. Or short sentences. You can write one word or two. But when I say write. Write.
And spellings don’t matter.

Remember you can always go back and add things or change things.
slide3. Crick Crack! Monkey break he back for a rotten pomerac. (Mandee Mando song)
This story is about a boy.
A boy who was very naughty.
A boy who liked to play tricks on people.
One time he put a rotten egg in his sister’s bed. Another time he ate all the sweets in his aunty’s shop and filled the wrappers with stones.
He was a very naughty boy.
-It’s not good to play tricks on people, his grandmother was always telling him. – One day you will learn the lesson.
slide4. So who was this boy? This naughty boy? Write me something about this boy. What was his name? He must have a name. The boy’s name was…

And what he look like? Was a tall boy or a short boy. A big boy or a small boy? His hair long or his hair short? Broad smile or thin smile.

Just write me something about this boy.
slide5. Feel like we getting to know this boy now. Don’t worry, if you have more to write, remember you can always go back after and add things.
slide6. So, this naughty boy, well, he had a lot of chores to do. Every day. Jobs he had to do. Do you have chores to do? What jobs do you have to do? Write a list.

(1 minute: …make his bed, feed the dog, turn the soil, dry the cocoa, sweep the step, pick up the clothes, clear the patch to plant tomatoes)

You have your list?
So what’s the boys list. Write the boy’s list.

(hum – He had to make his bed, feed the dog, turn the soil, dry the cocoa, sweep the step, pick up the clothes, clear the patch to plant tomatoes.)
slide7. You have the boys list? So which job, you think he didn’t like the most? The one he didn’t want to do at all. Ever.

Why you think that one?

You can write it down if you want to.
(1 minute – come mister tally man, tally me banana)
slide8. Because, on the day we’re talking about, the boy had to do the job he didn’t like the most. The job he never wanted to do, ever.

And He was doing everything he could, to put off doing the job.

What kind of things you do to put off doing your homework?

Listen to music? Play games? Sleep? Hahaha!
slide9. So, what you think the boy did to avoid doing his job? This naughty boy who liked to play tricks on people?

What do you think he did that day?

Think about it. …Did he play a trick?
slide10. Did he play a trick on people? Think about it. If he played a trick, What trick?
What trick?
…
slide11. Write down, what you think he did. (Just put it on the paper, don’t matter how it sound for now, you going to go back and fix up)

What did this naughty boy do?

1 minute – (Down by the River)
slide12. Because this was the day… The day he was going to learn a lesson?

-It’s not good to play tricks on people!
slide13. So take your story home, and say what happened next. Long sentence or short sentence. Cause I know a story about a boy. A very naughty boy. Who liked to play tricks on people. And it didn’t end well for him.
So when you finish your story. I will tell you mine.
