WHO IS ISRAEL???Rom 9:6-76 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.Slide3

Paul uses a series of comparisons to prove the identity of the True Israel. He speaks of two women, two sons, two covenants, two mountains, two cities, and two Israels. By these comparisons he shows how the Old Testament has been fulfilled by the New Testament, and the Old Jerusalem has been replaced by the New Jerusalem, the natural Jews have been replaced by the combined Spiritual Jews, and the Old Israel has been combined to include all nations, kindred, and tongues.Slide4

WHO IS ISRAEL???Two Sons, Two Women

Gal 4:22-2622 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.Slide5

Isaac was born by nothing but faith in a promise. Ishmael on the other hand was born by nothing but unbelief. But the product of unbelief has nothing in common with the product of faith and the time eventually would come when the Scripture would decree: Gal 4:30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.Slide6

Mat 3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.Mat 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Unbelief cause them to lose out in the Kingdom of God. It was therefore given to those who would bring forth fruit of worship, obedience, praise, honor, and faith.

Mat 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. Slide7

We find in Romans chapter 11 that Old Covenant Israel is being cut off from the commonwealth of Israel because of one major characteristic: UNBELIEF! Rom 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.Rom 11:2 God hath not cast away his people

which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, Rom 11:3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. Rom 11:4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.Rom 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. Slide8

Rom 11:7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded Rom 11:19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. Rom 11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off,

and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: Now, the unbelieving and unsaved are cut-off branches, and in this condition they are not the elect or chosen people of God. They have excluded themselves by choice. Peter said of the Jews and the Gentiles in the church as the Israel of God, that they were the chosen generation or chosen people (1Pet. 2:9).Slide9

Jer 31:35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:Jer 31:36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith

the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.Babylon’s fall: Isa 13:10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. Egypt’s fall: Eze 32:7 And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light. Slide10

Edom’s fall: Isa 34:4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.

Israel’s fall: Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Their unbelief would cause them to be cast out of the vineyard, and ultimately destroyed for her unbelief. See the parable of the vineyard ( Mark 12:1-9).Slide11

Heb 3:15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. Heb 3:16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. Heb 3:17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?Heb 3:18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?

Heb 3:19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. Heb 3:11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) Who’s not entering in? Old Covenant unbelieving Israel!Slide12

Act 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. Act 3:23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

Their destruction came at 70ad when the Roman army surrounded Jerusalem in a massive seize unto desolation. She would be brought down to ground level, and completely removed from God’s kingdom. Never to rise again as a nation of God’s chosen people, but to be shattered and scattered across the face of the earth itself. Slide13

Now that we have established that Old Covenant Israel is no longer God’s chosen people. We must Now establish who is God’s chosen people, and who has the promies, the inheritance, the Glory, the Covenants, the giving of the Law, and the service of God. We will see that those who enter in to God’s New Covenant will indeed become the inherent people of God.

In this next slide we will show the comparisons between the chosen people of God under the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. Slide14

What would transpire is the change from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant, which is a Spiritual Covenant. The Old was carnal ordinances, whereas the New is spiritual ordinances. Those people under the Old were mandated to continue into the New, yet they would reject the New Covenant, and the author of redemption. This would cause them be removed from the Covenant altogether, placing them as outsiders. They who were once called Jews, are now considered Gentiles by a spiritual definition. Act 15:8 And God, which

knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;Act 15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. THEY BECAME UBELIEVERS!Slide16

Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:Rom 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.Slide17

This compares the mother of Ishmael to MOUNT SINAI in Arabia and the natural Jews to children in bondage. Remember the importance of Sinai in the Old Testament. God first gave the Old Covenant, the law of Moses, to Israel from atop this Mountain. This law made nothing perfect (Heb. 7:19). The natural Jew, trusting in the law of Moses, instead of being freed from sin, is in hopeless bondage and therefore alienated from God.

ALLEGORY: A STORY

IN THICH PEOPLE, THINGS, AND HAPPENINGS HAVE A HIDDEN OR SYMBOLIC MEANING.

The earthly Jerusalem, like Hagar brings forth nothing but a flesh seed gendered by unbelief. This seed is the natural Jew, bound by the law, and separated from Christ. The Jerusalem that is above, or the heavenly Jerusalem, like Sarah, brings forth the Spiritual faith seed of Abraham, which is the Church.Slide18

The True Israel and True JewRom 2:25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. Rom 2:26 Therefore if the

uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? Rom 2:27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law? Rom 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.Slide19

Mat 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. The Church of Jesus Christ, comprised of both Jewish and Gentile members in the flesh, from whom the separating wall of partition has been removed by the death of their common Savior, now forms a new nation, a new Israel. This new Israel in not based upon fleshly distinctions, but upon Spiritual power through faith in the crucified Savior.

Eph 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;Eph 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;Eph 2:16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: Slide20

Luke 13:34-35

34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and

stonest

them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!

35

Behold, your house is left unto you desolate:

and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

When Old Israel welcomes the gospel and enters the sheepfold by the same door as the Gentiles enter by and trust in the same Gospel, then their desolation shall end.Slide21

Amo 8:1 Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and behold a basket of summer fruit. Amo

8:2 And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more. Amo 8:3 And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord GOD: there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast them forth with silence.Amo 8:4 Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail, Amo 8:5 Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath

, that we may set forth wheat, making the

ephah

small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?

Amo

8:6 That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes;

yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat?

Amo

8:7 The LORD hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.

Amo

8:8 Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that

dwelleth

therein? and it shall rise up wholly as a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned, as

by the flood of Egypt.

Amo

8:9 And it shall come to pass in that day,

saith

the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:

Amo

8:10 And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only

son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.

Amo

8:11 Behold, the days come,

saith

the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
