Architecture

Explain the architecture used during this era. Include pictures of the design of homes, castles, churches, and businesses. Explain how they were constructed.

Globe

Theatre

Focus on the history of the Globe. How was the original Globe funded; the site determined; any problems with construction? What was the cost of a play? Where were costumes and props stored? Where was the audience located? Include pictures of Globe old and new (compare and contrast).

Dress

Focus on the dress of the nobility and common people. What laws governed dress? What materials

were used? How were clothes constructed; styles for special occasions?

Games

Focus on games played during this era

and explain how to play at least one game. Include pictures and/or draw your own visuals and scan into presentation.

Politics in England

Explain the political structures of England during this era. Explain the role of the Queen or King and the members of the court. Focus

on their jobs.

Dance

Explain the popular dances of the era;

include dances for aristocracy and common people.

Choose one dance (include music) and illustrate the

Conditions

on the SeaExplain the conditions sailors experienced while at sea. Explain health issues, where they slept and ate, how long were they at sea. What laws were they governed by while at sea? Where were the major shipping routes, etc.

Research sanitation, diseases, medicine, and where people received medical treatment. How did poverty affect the health of individuals. What was the air quality like? Was there a pollution problem?

Research the court system, the requirements to be a judge or lawyer, prisons, laws, punishments used and executions.

Research who

received an education, the cost, and subjects offered. What was education like for the poor and for the wealthy? Include information on education for men and women.

Music

Play or show us (audio) the types of music

from this era.

Include how it was published, and how it influenced people during this era. Include famous musicians, types of songs, etc.Slide7
