Corrigendum No.14 to Rates Circular No. 25 of 2007 Government of India (Ministry of Railways ( \n \r\nRailway Board ( \n No.TCR/1078/2007/1 New Delhi, dated 01.05.2008 The General Managers(Comml.) All Indian Railways . Sub: Standard rake size of covered wagons for grant of trainload rate. Ref: Board’s letter of even number dated 22.01.2008 (Corrigendum No. 12 to Rates Circular No. 25 of 2007) ***`` In terms of Corrigendum No.12 to Rates Circular No.25 of 2007, Annexure-II (Composition of Block Rakes) attached to Rates Circular No.25 of 2007 for fixing the standard rake size of different wagons for grant of trainload rate benefit was revised. The matter has been reviewed. Sanction is hereby accorded for fixing the standard rake size for BOXN groups of wagons viz. BOXN, BOXNHS, BOXNHA, BOXNEL, BOXNLW etc. as 59 wagons and that for BCN/BCXN wagons as 41 wagons. The minimum number of wagons required to be loaded for availing trainload benefit will remain 56 wagons for BOXN groups of wagons and 38 wagons for BCN/BCXN wagons. In case of Mixed Rake of covered wagons, the standard rake size will be 41 wagons and the minimum number of wagons required to be loaded for availing trainload benefit will be 38 wagons. Accordingly, the modified Annexure-II (composition of Block Rakes) to Rates circular No.25 of 2007 is annexed herewith. Wide publicity may be given to these modifications. The customers may be clearly advised that the indents of 59 BOXN, BOXNHS, BOXNHA, BOXNEL, BOXNLW wagons must be placed for availing trainload rate benefit. For indents already placed before date of effect of these instructions, trainload benefit will not be denied even if the indents were placed for existing standard rake size of 58 wagons of BOXN group. These instructions will come into force w.e.f. 08.05.2008. This issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation and Mechanical Directorates and with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.
