SKIN CARE

Bathe and shower daily. Use mild/moisturizing soap and water. Use clean towel to dry off. Don’t share soaps and towels.

USE

DEODERANT

or BODY SPRAY!!!

Use a sunscreen of SPF of 15+

Check over skin monthly for moles, warts, and freckles to see if they change size or color.

Wear T-Shirts, underwear, socks

, shoes,

or moisture

wicking clothes (absorb sweat) when working out.

Put on lotion after showering if your skin is dry from water.

LOTIONS to USE

Moisturizing

- keeps water in the skin and prevents skin from drying out in winter.

Healing-

made to add moisture to dry/cracked skin. Use mainly in Winter months or if you naturally have drier skin.

Firming-

makes skin firmer and helps hide wrinkles or cellulite.

CARE FOR ACNE

Gently wash affected areas.

Don’t pop the pimples or blackheads.

Use cosmetics sparingly (especially oily ones).

Use a acne cream after washing to dry out affected areas. (FYI acne may get worse before it is better)

See a dermatologist if acne

gets worse.

NAIL CARE

Clean them. Dirty nails can draw bacteria.

Trim weekly. Don’t cut them all the way off.

File nails down to keep them neat.

Using nail polish is fine, but may draw bacteria to your nails.

FOOT CARE

Wear socks that are right size. Always wear clean socks to avoid odor.

Wash feet daily and dry them.

Air out shoes for 24 hours before wearing them again. Stick newspapers in them. Use dryer sheets make them smell good.

Cut toe nails straight across.

Wear properly fitted shoes.

Athletes Foot-

mainly on soles of feet. Itching, burning, redness, stinging. Skin may peel, blister, or crack.

-Sprays, creams,

keep feet dry.

Ingrown Toenail-

toenail that grows into skin.

-See doctor for treatment.

HAIR CARE

DO’s

Wash hair every other day. More if you sweat a lot. Every 2 weeks for

some populations.

Comb never brush wet hair.

Dry hair naturally or use low dryer setting.

Massage scalp to stimulate blood flow.

DON’T’S

Overuse hair spray, gel, or other hair products that dry hair out.

Share combs, brushes, or headgear.

Overexpose hair to sun

Pull hair back tight with pins, clips, or rubber bands. This can cause split ends.

TEETH CARE

Brush teeth at least

TWICE

a day.

-After breakfast/before bed.

Brush

ALL your

teeth. Make sure you get the back teeth and sides. Also, brush your tongue.

Brush at least 2-3 minutes.

Floss. Get between teeth and gum line.

Visit Dentist 2x a year.

Use mouthwash.

Brushing teeth keeps breath fresh.
