The children of Kiwi class had great time during the topic “Seasons”. Children did role plays and dress up for the winter, spring, autumn and summer. We all had fun listening to our favourite stories and made art work to accompany these. We had lots of discussions about how plants grow, discussing parts of the flowers and plants, how plants grow from seeds and then change from bud to a flower as it grows. The children learnt about these through stories, games and rhymes. The next topic was “Nursery Rhymes” which include “Incy Wincy Spider, Humpty Dumpty, 5 little ducks and Old Macdonald”. Children were encouraged to use their different pitch of voice to make the songs interesting. At the end I would like to thank all the parents for coming to see the performance of their children for Spring Concert. The children tried their best to sing and perform for their parents. They made me proud by singing in front of a huge audience of parents. Well Done!By the end of the term children enjoyed egg dying activity, they got excited to see real eggs in class and it was fun drawing with crayons on them and then dying them with food colouring afterwards. Children also loved egg hunt and egg decorating crafts. We wish you all a happy and joyful spring break!Ms. Zunash
