Sans SerifI can’t tell you when to use a certain font – that’s up to you to decide, but my job is to assist you in choosing the best one for the format….Slide11

The “Hated” Bunch
Comic SansThis font was actually created to ONLY be used in speech bubbles for Microsoft Word in the late 90’s but when it wasn’t ready for shipment in the Office products they ended up throwing it into Windows 98.
Ever since then, you will see this font overused by the masses for all the wrong reasons.

PapyrusPeople don’t like Papyrus in the design world – for some reason it has become similar to Comic Sans but just not as overused. It became a topic of interest when James Cameron used it for the Title font for Avatar:Slide15
So what do we do now? There are only so many fonts to choose from in your arsenal of installed fonts – but there is hope yet!
If you want to download fonts on your PC at home – it’s easy!Go to www.1001freefonts.com and browse your selection
Download the font you’d like
Click the start button – type in FONTS and click enter
Drag the downloaded Font file (from the website) into this folder and it will installSlide16

Some people have over 1,700 fonts installed on their computers! In addition to slowing the computer down, it also slows down your ability to design because there are WAY TOO MANY to choose from in that case!Slide17
