SCIENTIFIC SOUND WAVES
Sound waves are measured in Hertz
Create or play recordings of various sounds
You can have stations of various objects (Ex. Cups, water bottles with beads, straws, pots, pans)
Students can create hypothesis as to weather objects will be low or high, pitched or un-pitched.
Students can experiment with the objects and chart their findings. Rule of thumb – the smaller the object/instrument the higher the sound. The larger the object/instrument the lower the sound.Slide5
