Throughout Term two the children have had the opportunity to go on a number of excursion to the Bowen Street Reserve adjacent to the kindergarten At Sunnyside we believe it is essential that our programs reflect the childrens voices During a group meeting the children explained that they would like more room to run around and play group games The teachers worked collaboratively with the children to come up with a solution and thus the Excursions to the park began The educators conducted a risk assessment prior to the first visit and the children were actively involved in setting boundaries to ensure the safety of the whole group during the excursion .
