3. Copy this in your Composition Book. Paraphrase when needed.Anne Frank: 13-years-old. Outgoing. Born 1929 in Frankfurt. Germany. Wants to become a writer. Anne dies of typhus in the concentration camp at Bergen-Belsen in late February or early March of 1945. What is Typhus? Disease is spread by rat fleas infected with the bacteria that cause endemic typhus fever. Rat fleas become infected when they feed on the blood of a rat with endemic typhus fever. Infected rat fleas pass infected feces while taking a blood meal from a person.Margot Frank: Anne’s sister. 18-years-old. Shy.Mr. Frank: Moved the family to Holland when Anne was 4 in an attempt to escape persecution. Realist and compassionate one in the family.Mrs. Frank: Proper and has dignity. She and Anne do not get along, even though Mrs. Frank tries to talk to Anne.

4. Peter Van Daan: 17-years-old. Shy at first. Likes Margot at first. Then, becomes friends with Anne and begins to like her.Mr. Van Daan: Selfish. Overweight. Mrs. Van Daan: Spoiled. Rich. Materialistic.Mr. Dussel: Dentist. Not married. No kids.Miep Gies: Helps the families in the attic. Brings food and medical supplies to them when it is safe.Mr. Kraler: Helps the families. He is the one who the Franks and Van Daans went to for safety. Former business partner of Mr. Frank’s.
