Programme ObjectivesThe programme is designed to : expand understanding of mental health and mental disorders through critically adopting systemic and bio-psycho-social-spiritual frameworks;develop advanced clinical knowledge and practical skills in mental health practice for both common and severe mental illnesses; master research methods essential for informing clinical decision and policy making; and develop lifelong vision for pursuing the best mental health practice and advocating for good mental health and rehabilitation policies.MSocSc (Mental Health) Information Session, HKU2

In the second year, students can choose to specialize in four areas in mental health (i.e. Integrative Mental Health, Children and Youth Mental Health, Psychogeriatric Care and Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy).
