This project has had two phases 1 Identifying oral histories of IST pioneersleaders done by others 2 The ASIST 75 th anniversary oral history program As of November 2013 I have identified a total of at least 50 IST oral histories This list has been posted to the ASIST history site and will be regularly updated. These histories are compiled by the committee and generally include information on the membership , jurisdiction, and important legislative issues the committee has handled. Histories are listed LDS Pioneer Trek. As will be mentioned in greater detail the Pioneer Trek is enacted as a remembrance of LDS ancestors who gave up so much for their current freedoms.. The pioneers were the first to believe upon their beliefs of a modern prophet and the Book of Mormon in connection with the Bible. As a result they were persecuted and kicked out of many towns, even those they personally settled..
