Indicate if you are a new user, or if you already have an account with the UW System.

If you are a new user, establish a new account with the UW System. Save your login information to use again in the future.

Once you are registered and logged in, the next page should welcome you to create a new application.

To be eligible for ECCE, you need to have earned a high school diploma already. Indicate that here.

ECCE students must have earned college credits already (a different Bachelor’s degree, an Associate’s degree, a Credential, etc.). Indicate which is correct for you.

You are applying for an Undergraduate Degree.

Indicate whether or not you are a US Citizen.

Choose the semester you want to start in the program, understanding it will take a few weeks for your application to be processed and approved.

You are applying for a degree through UW-Whitewater.

Always review your responses when asked to, and go back to make changes if needed.

This application requires a LOT of information, just take it one page at a time.

Always Check for Errors and fix them before continuing to the next page.

Include all information about where you went to high school and when you graduated.

You will need to include information about EVERY college and university you earned credits at, even if just one course or Credential.

Be sure to indicated when you attended each school and how many credits you earned. You can find this information on unofficial transcripts usually found online through your college or university.

If you attended more than one college or university in the past, click “Add another Institution” to enter the information for each one.

If you are currently enrolled at a college or University, taking courses toward a degree or to earn a Credential, be sure to indicate this.

I honestly don’t know why you need to include your employment history for last two years, but include it so your application an be processed.

When you get to the UW-Whitewater page, be sure to indicate if you are or were ever enrolled here. Since you already have college credits, you are applying as a Transfer. Then, click “Select Program” to choose the ECCE major.

To find the ECCE program, ask the system to sort by “school/college”, then click Re-Sort.

Go to the Education and Professional Studies page, and choose Early Child Care and Education Major.

Then, you need to choose between the Leadership or Teaching emphasis Field of Study. Think about your short and long term goals when you decide.

Indicate whether or not you plan to teach, and if so at what level. Also indicate you expect to graduate from UW-Whitewater but don’t plan to live on campus.

You do need to write an essay. It may work best to write this in a Word Doc, then copy and past into this field. Be sure to respond to the question provided as a prompt.

To get Resident tuition rates, you must provide a great deal of information to establish yourself as a WI Resident.

Be as careful and honest as you can when completing this legal document.

If you have lived in the same residence for over two years, list your current residence as your Former Address 1.

This section can be particularly difficult. Do the best you can to complete it as accurately as possible.

Include as much information as you have or can get about both parents/legal guardians.

Before you complete the application, check to make sure all sections are marked Valid.

When your application is complete, click on Submit Application and pay the application fee OR apply for an income based waiver from the fee.
