The community is working collaboratively to achieve common goals, using agreed-upon accountability tools and measures, and utilizing data to make decisions about program direction and design
Equity
Communities explicitly identify and develop action plans to address chronic attainment gaps between populations, particularly between racial/ethnic groups
Attainment
Communities build support for and action plans around the principle:

Why Equity Matters
Fourteen states represent
46
percent
of the total U.S. population. Those states have a population age five and under that is
majority non-white.

half of the nation’s workers
