Flag Day at Dr. Herbert N. Richardson School is always special.
This Year, some Veterans from the New Jersey Veteran’s Memorial Home in Menlo Park visited. They were served an all American lunch of hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, and macaroni salad. There was a student representing every fourth grade class that greeted and escorted the veteran to lunch. They served them lunch and then sat and talked with the veterans. They then were escorted to the school wide sing along led by the Dr. Richardson. Madison Lopez played a special solo rendition on her guitar. Both the Chorus and Recorder Club serenaded us with a delightful hour of various patriotic music.
