Inaugurated 4 October 2025 from Gandhinagar, Gujarat by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
Organized by the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with RBI, IRDAI, SEBI, PFRDA and IEPFA.

Duration: Three months (October to December 2025).

Purpose / Objective:
To raise awareness about unclaimed financial assets (bank deposits, insurance claims, dividends, shares, mutual fund balances, pensions) that belong to citizens but remain unclaimed. 
To help citizens trace, update, and claim their rightful assets. 
To strengthen financial inclusion, transparency, and trust in the financial system. 
Aim: To give back citizens’ unclaimed money from various financial institutions.
Campaign integrates digital platforms, guidance materials, and public outreach.<br>

slide4. 3. Financial Significance and Impact As of August 31, 2025, total estimated unclaimed assets in India: ~ ₹1.82 lakh crore Breakdown: • Unclaimed financial assets in India (as of Aug 2025): ₹1.82 lakh crore.
- Banks: ₹75,000+ crore
- Insurance: ₹14,000 crore
- Mutual Funds: ₹3,000 crore
- Corporate Funds: ₹9,000 crore
- Shares & Dividends: ₹19,000 crore
• Reinforces citizen trust in financial systems.
• Promotes financial inclusion and rightful claim settlement.<br>
slide5. 4. Educational and Awareness Initiatives LIC launched multilingual booklet in Hindi, English, and Gujarati.
Booklet provides step-by-step process to reclaim unclaimed money.
Public encouraged to use online portals of respective regulators.
Emphasis on transparency, awareness, and empowerment.<br>
slide6. 5. Event Coordination and Highlights Coordinated by: State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC), Gujarat.
Participating Regulators: RBI, PFRDA, IEPFA, SEBI, IRDAI

Key Action Points:
1. Public gatherings organized by each of the regulators.
2. Dedicated stalls set up by respective agencies for on-the-spot assistance.
3. SOPs, FAQs, and Video Guidance made available to help citizens reclaim their money.
4. Nearly 125 claimants identified from all regulators; claims successfully processed.
5. 17 beneficiaries received their dues from Hon’ble Finance Minister herself.
6. Dais graced by:
- Hon’ble Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman
- Shri Kanubhai Desai, Finance Minister, Gujarat
- Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary, DFS
- Dr. T. Natarajan, Principal Secretary (Finance), Government of Gujarat
7. Senior officials of DFS, State Government, Secretaries, Joint Secretaries, Executive Directors of RBI, Chiefs of Banks, Whole Time Members of Regulators i.e SEBI, PFRDA, IRDAI, attended the function.
8. Over 1,000 customers from various agencies participated.
9. Stalls equipped with claim-related materials; staff guided the public to reclaim money quickly and efficiently.<br>
slide7. 6. Preparation of Event “YOUR MONEY, YOUR RIGHT” Campaign To ensure the successful execution of the event, detailed planning and coordination were undertaken. The following key preparations and activities were carried out:

Appointment of Nodal Officers

Nodal Officers were appointed for each of the participating regulators:
RBI, SEBI, PFRDA, IRDAI & IEPFA
These officers acted as key liaisons to coordinate event-related activities.

2. Committee Formation at SLBC level

In coordination with the Nodal Officers, members were nominated to various event-specific committees, including:
Airport Committee, Stall & Branding Committee, Seating Arrangement Committee, Stage Committee
& Protocol Committee.
Each committee was assigned specific responsibilities to ensure smooth functioning across all event areas.

3. Claimant Finalization

A comprehensive list of claimants from each regulator was compiled. In consultation with the Department of Financial Services (DFS), the final list of selected claimants was approved. Each committee played a vital role in the successful launch of the campaign:

Airport Committee: Ensured smooth transit and reception for all invited guests and dignitaries.

Protocol Committee: Oversaw the coordination of guest arrivals, dignitary movement, and overall protocol adherence.

Stage Committee: Managed the stage setup, event flow, coordination of certificate distribution, and ensured the smooth conduct of the ceremony.

Stall and Branding Committee: Set up informative stalls for each regulator. Assisted claimants and the public in understanding the process of reclaiming unclaimed money/assets under the campaign. Ensured proper visibility and branding across the venue.

Seating Arrangement Committee: Managed venue layout and seating to accommodate all stakeholders, guests, media, and claimants efficiently.

Reception & Transport Committee: Managed smooth stay & vehicle arrangement for the guests & dignitaries.

The meticulous planning, inter-agency coordination, and active involvement of all committees and nodal officers were instrumental in the successful execution of the “YOUR MONEY, YOUR RIGHT” campaign. The event was a significant step toward raising awareness and empowering citizens to reclaim their rightful financial dues.<br>
