Some streams are crossing the project site boundary, flowing in to the downstream channels. They are further flowing downstream connecting to a higher order stream (a rivulet, the Ponnayar or Dakshina Pinakini river). The watershed area falls in the transition zone and is dry most of the year, and these fluvial channels are ephemeral At the project site, all the storm water discharge collected / will be diverted to the natural drains The impacts if any, will be minimized and mitigated in the project site area, so that there is no influence to the surface water bodies.
