Julius Caesar . This scene takes place in the early morning of March 15. th. . (The Ides of March). Brutus is in his orchard debating as to what to do regarding Caesar.. Brutus decides on his own that Caesar must be stopped.. Scenes 1-6. Scene 1 . Banquo. – “Now you have it all don’t you Macbeth”. Extremely suspicious of Macbeth – knows that he has cheated to earn the what the weird sisters promised him. . Macbeth comes in and has adopted the royal “we” in speech. – how impressive!. . Scene 2. [. Enter QUINCE, FLUTE, SNOUT, and STARVELING. ]. This short scene serves as something like ‘breathing space’ after all the high-paced action that has gone before. It also acts as a ‘bridge’ to the next act.. Act I, Scene ii.  . Setting. “The castle”. Many ways to play this scene. Branagh. plays it as a very formal, very public ceremony of sorts in front of the whole court. Others see it as a council chamber, with only the high ups of the court present.
