Construction Schedule

Project Start: May 28, 2019Estimated Project Completion: Q3 2020 (July – September)Normal Work Hours: 9:30 am to 3:30 pm (working behind traffic drum)Permitted Work Hours: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm (working behind temporary pedestrian PVC barricade) Contractors may work during the evening or on weekends with special after hours permit due to inclement weather delays.

Detailed Scope of Work

Civil Infrastructure Construction incudes the following activities:

Removal and disposal of existing roadway pavement

Manhole construction

Removal and disposal of curb and gutter

Excavation and backfilling of all utility cuts

Removal and disposal of sidewalks and trees

Restore all utility cuts

Milling of existing asphalt pavement

Replace curb, gutter, and sidewalk

Installation of Pepco supplied materials

Replace topsoil, seed and mulch on all disturbed earth and grass.

Furnishing and installation of concrete for duct bank encasement

Construction Activities - Two Week Look Ahead

Over the next two weeks, our contractor(s) will be working to install manholes,

tapholes and transformer enclosures and laying conduit. This work will include trenching, backfilling and pouring concrete on the following blocks:4500 block of Davenport Street NW4500 block of Ellicott Street NW4600 block of 47th Street NW4600 block of 48th Street NW4700-4800 blocks of Brandywine Street NW4700 block of Asbury Street NW4800 block of 46th Street NW5100 block of 44th Street NW.

15 Days Prior to ConstructionImpacted customers will receive a phone call of upcoming construction activity 7 Days Prior to Construction Impacted customers will receive a reminder doorhanger of upcoming construction activity 72 Hours Prior to ConstructionEmergency No Parking Signs will be posted on all impacted streetsSaturday Work NotificationsImpacted customers will receive a doorhanger of upcoming Saturday work.Prior to the contractor mobilizing to your street, a layout of the proposedwork area must be marked. Some of these work areas are by the curb and cannot be marked correctly due to parked vehicles. This is why signs are placed before the actual construction. Once the layout is complete, the contractor will begin mobilizing.
