On April 5, 1772 British Red Coats attempted to calm a Boston crowd. The colonists threw snowballs of stone at the Red Coats. A soldier was knocked down with shots fired. Five colonists died including Christopher Adams.
In 1772, John Adams created the Boston Committee of Correspondence in order to organize Boston protestors.
The Coercive Acts gave the British East Indian Company total control of the paper market.
