Which tree species and biome types are most vulnerable to c: Transcript

Andy Hansen and Linda Phillips Ecology Department Montana State University NASA Applied Sciences Program NNH10ZDA001N BIOCLIM Goal Synthesize published studies to assess potential impact of climate change on biome types and tree species in the GNLCC and in the Greater Yellowstone and Glacier ecosystems. All these partitioned analyses of concatenated data sets make the assumption . t. hat all the genes share a common gene tree.. However there are several important reasons that phylogeny estimates from separate genes might be incongruent.. Izzy Kirkendoll and . Kaitlyn. Seabrook. Where are they located?. Because this type of biome is found all over the world, it has many names. For example, in North America it is called chaparral. In Spain, the common name is . This biome is the driest; it only receives 50cm of rainfall a year about 10% of the rainfall in the rainforest. Its plants and animals have to survive in an environment with little water and dramatic temperature changes from day to night. Some animals and plants may find if difficult to adapt, but reptiles and cacti thrive in these conditions.. Welcome!. Come take a tour of the tundra biome with Atzhari and Isabella! hope you enjoy (': please enjoy the beauty of it all. . Tundra Biome Map . Tundra Climate. The tundra biome is an ecosystem situated near the North Pole in the Arctic Circle. It is by far the coldest of all biomes. The winters are extremely cold with temperatures typically below -34° C. The summers last only about two months and the temperatures are still very cold ranging from 3° to 12° C. This biome still sustains life although it encounters these extreme temperatures. Some animals, insects, and even plants thrive there. Yearly precipitation, including melting snow, is 150 to 250 mm. The arctic tundra biome ranges from 300 to 11,079 feet in elevation.. Biome Project Santa Cruz, Bolivia Elizabeth Sanchelli The Biome The Biome of Santa Cruz, Bolivia is very tropical, and filled with biodiversity. It has a lot of greenery all around the city, and is known for it’s beautiful waterfalls. There are many different types of exotic plants around the land.
