To synthesize art concepts and skills in works that are personally, sociocultural and aesthetically meaningful
Exhibit technical skills and appropriate use of media
Illustrate concepts imaginatively and creatively, avoiding clichéd objects and obvious symbols
Goals:
Translate a concept into a 3D painting form utilizing appropriate media

Two pages in your textbook which describe you (minimum 100 words. Include artwork or collage if you wish to get creative juices flowing!
Think of symbols/ actions that represent the following questions. Try to capture the essence of something, rather than being literal or clichéd.
Who am I?
What is my story?
Where am I?
Do I belong?
Why am I here?
Where am I going?
How do I perceive the world?

Slide21Design 2 different sculptures/drawings based on the written theme in your sketchbooks with your 100-word proposal of your project.
Design must include:
Approximate dimensions, media to be used, colours, and surface treatment
Each design must have multiple views of the sculpture (at leas 2).
This work is to be worked on throughout the 4-5 week period. At the end, a reflection will be submitted with the piece, and a brief oral presentation describing your reflection will be made.
