STRATEGY TO IMPROVE THE FOOD GRAIN PRODUCTION2015-16

Arrangement and distribution of quality seeds.Promotion of Seed treatment .

Timely supply of Power and canal water for irrigation

Pre-positioning of fertilizers

Promotion of INM and IPM for need based use of inputs.

Regular monitoring and control of Yellow Rust.

Dissemination of latest crop production technology through

District , Block and Village Level Farmer’s Training Camps, Front Line Demonstration ; and Farmers field Schools, field days etc..4Slide5

New Initiatives for enhancing crop production

5 Provision of precision agricultural machinery through agro-service centers (1703) on custom-hiring basis Promotion of resource conservation technology viz. Laser land leveling, minimum tillage, DSR etc.

Improvement in VRR through propagation of new varieties of wheat (PBW 725, HD 3086, WH 1105) and paddy (PR 123, PR 124, PR 126)

Campaign for sieving of home saved seed

Rouging of off-type plants
