Full marks answer

A point of view, long shot is shown from Anakin’s perspective. From this the audience can see the space in front and to the side of Anakin’s pod. The great speed that he is travelling becomes obvious and the close proximity of the other pods around him show the danger that he is in. The point of view shot encourages the audience to identify with Anakin and thereby to want him to win. The audience will then feel the same tension as Anakin as they anticipate the end of the race and want to know who will win.
